Rebrand. Vow renewal. Six-year anniversary gift.
Call it what you want, but when CustomMade asked us to refresh their identity, we happily said, “We do.” (Grammatically questionable. Emotionally correct.) What followed was a heartfelt overhaul—from new logo to full web redesign—for a custom jeweler turning love stories into one-of-a-kind rings and flipping the industry the middle ring finger while they’re at it.

Love in the making.

Every CustomMade ring starts with a spark—so we built a brand around the feeling that follows. Love in the Making became more than a tagline; it was a rallying cry for the process: personal, poetic, and made by hand.

Then came a logo to match. We combined a “C” and “M” into a clean, modern monogram with a gemstone tucked at the center—an elegant nod to the magic that happens in the middle. Bold enough to anchor a brand. Subtle enough to sit quietly in your jewelry box.

Designed by heart, and hand.

CustomMade may be a digital service, but the brand needed to feel anything but. So we created a hand-drawn illustration system alongside a series of digital badges—part sketchbook, part jeweler’s stamp—that married the human element of their process with the legitimacy of their operation. We paired it with a bold, brand-forward color palette to boost recognition, create consistency, and bring a little extra shine to the system.

One site fits all.

Buying a custom engagement ring online isn’t exactly ordinary—so their website couldn’t be either. We built a digital experience that matched the boldness of the brand: clear, compelling, and easy to trust. With three core templates and a flexible system of content blocks, their team can build (and evolve) with confidence. Add in sharp, human messaging and intuitive UX, and the result is a site that feels personal, polished, and nothing like the rest of the category.

Beautifully buttoned up.

Once the brand was built, we wrapped it all up in a set of comprehensive guidelines—visual guardrails, image strategy, and real-world examples included. We helped CustomMade embrace a UGC-first approach, curating the kind of content that reflects both their craftsmanship and their customers' joy. From hand-drawn sketches to happy couples, it’s all been considered.
